What services do you offer?
Marjorie Husbands is a Licensed Professional Counselor with many years of experience and credentials. Her services include individual, one-on-one counseling for adults, marriage/relationships counseling, distance counseling, and critical incident stress debriefing.

Where are your offices located?
Currently, Healing and Hope Counseling Services of Waco is only utilizing Tele-mental Health services.  Marjorie A. Husbands, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor,  is a board certified Tele-mental Health Provider.   The Board Certified Tele-mental Health Provider credential was developed in 2018 by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).

What geographic areas do you serve?
Patients typically come from Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, Lorena, McGregor, Bellmead, Lacy Lakeview, Gatesville, Temple, and beyond. We welcome patients referred by area psychiatrists and others.

How long does a counseling session last?
Normally, sessions will last 50 to 55 minutes.

How frequently do we meet?
Usually, once a week in the beginning, changing the frequency of the sessions as needed.

What Insurance Plans do you take?
We will assist you in using your mental health insurance benefits. You will be responsible for fees meeting your co-payments and deductibles.

What are the fees?
Initial Assessment/Evaluation/Interview Session: $160.00
Following Sessions: $145.00
Distance Counseling: $100.00 for 60 minutes (when insurance is not filed).

How do I make my co-payments and deductible payments?
You can pay with a credit or debit card.

What do I need to do before my first appointment?
Please call the office, 254-741-5944, to make an appointment and/or to secure access to the Healing and Hope Counseling Services Client Portal.  Paperwork, for example, “Client Consent for Treatment,”  will need to be completed prior to first session.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
You are responsible for the time that has been set-aside for you. Therefore, if you are unable to attend, and need to cancel, it is your responsibility to let your counselor know 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.

You can cancel an appointment by calling 254-741-5944 or by visiting the “Client Portal”, if it is more than 24 hours in advance. If your cancellation notice is less than 24 hours, you will need to call the office and leave a message.  You will be charged $67.50 for late cancellation.

What if I fail to show up for my appointment?
You will be charged $67.50 for the No-Show.

Do you have evening and weekend appointments?
Special appointment times can be arranged with your therapist.
